Nicki Minaj would ruin X Factor's credibility

There's a nasty rumor going around.

A recent article in Page Six has X Factor fans all over the world in a state of shock and disbelief. The gossip column made the stupefying announcement that Simon Cowell is trying to get whack rap act, Nicki Minaj, to serve as a judge on his show, X Factor.

"Simon thinks Nicki is fantastic. She's sassy, she looks great and she has bags of personality," said a Page Six source.

Whether or not Minaj has “bags of personality” may be debatable, but one thing is certain - she barely has a thimble's worth of a talent.

I have always thought of Simon Cowell as an incredibly savvy business man. I find it hard to believe he would ruin his show by adding a talentless spectacle to the judge's panel.

Nicki Minaj's presence on X Factor would cheapen the show, ruin its credibility, and turn off millions of viewers - myself included.

Besides, how can a Lil’ Kim wannabe, who dresses like a clown and talks over lame rhythm tracks, effectively judge a talent show?

When will the music business stop confusing popularity with actual talent?!
