Kid Rock NAACP Honor: Group says Rock is racist

Written By Alfred Haynes on Monday, March 7, 2011 | Monday, March 07, 2011

Somewhere out there, Kid Rock is probably giving someone the finger.

The NAACP's Detroit chapter is planning to honor Kid Rock at their annual May 1st, Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner. But one group says not so fast!

The NAACP wants to acknowledge Rock's efforts to improve the living conditions in Detroit.

Adolph Mongo, a member of Detroiters for Progress, says Rock's constant display of the confederate flag is a clear indication the rapper/rocker is a racist.

"Would any Jewish organizations honor any entertainer that flew a Nazi flag at their concerts?", said Mongo.

I don't know if Rock's so-called love for the confederate flag automatically makes him a racist, but Mango does have a point.

Designer John Galliano was dumped by Dior and could spend several months in a Parisian jail, for making alleged Anti-Semitic remarks, while possibly under the influence of a funny substance.

And you can bet your sweet tuchas, Galliano won't be receiving any awards from the Jewish community.
