Lupe Fiasco, another Chicago rapper with attitude, dissed Justin Bieber in a recent interview.
While discussing the lack of creativity in the music business and today's unsophisticated listening audience, Lupe railed against artists who fail to push the musical envelope.
"Justin Bieber sounds just like everybody else, to be honest. He’s the homie; he’s dope. But he’s no different than Sean Kingston, (or) Usher," said Lupe.
Some of the rappers venom might be linked to the fact that years into his career, he has yet to reach commercial/financial success.
"Three, four years later, I look at my bank account statements, and I haven't made any money with my record label," Lupe said in reference to Atlantic Records.
If Lupe isn't careful with what he says, making money will be the least of his issues. If he keeps badmouthing Justin Bieber, Bieber's fanatical followers will hack Lupe's Wikipedia page and write all kinds of nasty things about him.
Don't take my word for it, ask Esperanza Spaulding what happened when she snatched the Grammy for Best New Artist from little Bieber!

Gotta admit, Bieber is a cutie and Lupe' is just plain hot...for guys..but Justin is just the "New kid on the block" and really doesn't bring anything new to the scene EXCEPT he's a cutie:)
In today's music world, all it's all about the look and less about the talent. I'll give Bieber a little respect, because he can actually play a few instruments. But we can thank the music industry for killing REAL music and flooding the airwaves with garbage.

I don't know much about Lupe, but I sure see "enough" stories about his disputes in the RedEye and online. :)
