Phil Collins quits the music business

Citing health reasons, legendary singer, songwriter, and musician, Phil Collins, has announced his departure from show business.
Collins, who is now 60-years-old and lives in Switzerland, reportedly suffers from nerve damage in both hands, hearing loss, and a dislocated vertebrae.
The In The Air Tonight singer says he doesn't miss playing his instruments.
In November 2010, Collins told Rolling Stone magazine he has struggled with suicidal thoughts, but never acted on them, because of his children.
When I heard Phil (Yes, I feel like we're on a first name basis!) was leaving the music business, it felt like the universe sucked all the air out of the room - a real WTF moment.
Like millions of people, Phil Collins’ music has been an integral part of my life.
When I couldn't find the words to express the agony of my first broken heart, the lyrics to Against All Odds, helped me convey my feelings. Years later, when I found myself trapped in the web of an unrequited love affair, Do You Remember gave me the strength to walk out the door.
Admittedly, my reasons for wanted Phil Collins to stay in the music business are completely selfish. But I know everything must change.
And on that note, I wish Phil the best and hope the rest of his life is filled with happiness and good fortune.

Sad to hear he's leaving. I love Phil Collins. Grew up with his music always playing on the radio...the man is one of the greats!! Hope he takes good care of himself though and enjoys a happy and full life!
I too, am a huge Phil Collins fan. I enjoy his music, but I'd rather he be happy.
