After being battered by a storm of controversy, the conservative Tea Party group removed a picture of a skunk, along with the following caption, from their website:
"The skunk has replaced the eagle as the new symbol for the president. It is half black, it is half white, and almost everything it does, stinks."
Thomas Hymer, the site's administrator, reportedly admitted the statement was politically incorrect.
However, Hymer said the comparison between Obama and a smelly black and white creature was satirical, not racial.
According to Mail Online, a NAACP representative called the display a "blatant statement of racism".
Frankly, I'm outraged that anyone would compare our current president to a skunk.
Everyone knows Obama, just all the other presidents before him, is more akin to a snake.
