Mary J. Blige tries to sing National Anthem like Whitney Houston - FAILS!

At last night's NBA All-Star Game in Orlando, Florida, singer Mary J. Blige tried to call the spirit of Whitney Houston during her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner... too bad Whitney hung up on her ass.

Blige, a c-list singer at best, gave a triumphant performance for someone with her limited vocal ability, but certain parts of the song were simply too challenging for her inadequately suited voice.

When she realized she had bitten off more than she could chew, Blige ended the song by screaming off key - something she does quite frequently.

While some less astute music critics are praising Blige for singing the National Anthem without the use of auto-tune - as someone who knows what a stellar singer is supposed to sound like - I was not impressed.
