Anita Baker... the actress?
A Twitter user asked Anita Baker if she is interested in acting. Baker said she has been offered many roles... including a part in the upcoming Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks movie, Sparkle, which she turned down.
"Acting?... Many offers. Offered the role of the record exec in "Sparkle" ... I'm not an actor :) Content/Grateful 2 stay in my lane," said Baker.
I love Baker and I respect her decision to decline the part, but her presence in the movie would have made Sparkle extra, extra special!
Sparkle, Houston's last known project before her February 11, 2012, death at the Beverly Hilton hotel, is scheduled to hit theaters in August.
