Interracial homeowners held at gunpoint by (white?) neighbors, arrested for prowling

New homeowners, Jean and Angelica Kalonji were held at gunpoint by vigilante neighbors who ignorantly assumed the couple were burglars.

Jean, who is black and his wife Angelica, who is white, went to their new home in Newton County, Georgia, to change the locks... but instead of being greeted by the welcome wagon, two thugs forced them out of their own home at gunpoint and had them arrested.

Realtor, Yvette Harris, said the Kalonji family owns the house and they never should have been jailed.

Mark Mitchell, a spokesman for the Newton County Sheriff's Office claims authorities are investigating the incident, but don't hold my breath.

Although I have no proof that the gunmen in this story are white, Newton County, Georgia, is predominately Caucasian; an influx of black residents over the last five or six years has caused racial tensions among some of the whites who live in the area.

In past, residents in Newton County, Georgia, have complained of "loud rednecks driving around at night trying to start fights".
