American Idol audience is through with Fantasia

Written By Alfred Haynes on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 | Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Fantasia Barrino, the 3rd season winner of American Idol, is scheduled to appear on Thursday’s elimination show, but does anyone really care?

At the end of tonight’s show, Ryan Seacrest urged viewers to vote for their favorite singer and he also mentioned that Fantasia will appear on tomorrow’s show. But unless I momentarily went deaf or there was a technical issue at A.I.’s studio, no one applauded when Seacrest mentioned Fantasia’s name.

Tasia, as her fans call her, has had quite a few career setbacks since winning American Idol in 2004. She has mismanaged her money, skipped out on several appearances during Oprah’s Color Purple Broadway show, and has been allegedly involved with a married man.

One could say that Tasia's personal life has been less than idol worthy.

During her march 31, 2011, American Idol appearance, Fantasia is planning to sing a song called Collard Greens and Cornbread, from her Back to Me CD. The song’s lyrics are about a woman who is being treated like garbage, but stays with her man, because she thinks toughing it out in a dysfunctional relationship, means it’s real love.

Did I tell you that at one point, Fantasia was reportedly boinking a married man?

Who are the sucessful 'American Idol' Winners?

Would they include Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and Reuben Studdard? :)

I remember how Justin Guarini was talked about for a bit, but later "vanished". :|

Rudy, that's the problem with that American Idol. Most of the people who win, fail to become superstars. I don't even remember the names of the last two winners.

Wish Clay and Adam would have made it. They both sang "RINGS" around what's up there now except one & she's only 16!!!!!!!!!!
