Whitney Houston's life story: Who will play late singer in movie?

Written By Alfred Haynes on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 | Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Sources have revealed that a movie about Whitney Houston's life struggles is already in the works, but the producers haven't decided who will play the "I Will Always Love You" singer on the big screen.

Since her tragic February 11, 2012, death at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, insiders have been bouncing around the names Brandy and Jennifer Hudson as possible leads in an upcoming Whitney Houston biopic.

"Brandy's physical appearance is believable, but Hudson's voice is better suited for the role," said a confidential source.

Other people close to the project said the studio may go with an unknown actress for the part.

"Using another celebrity to play Whitney Houston may not work. We are considering an undiscovered actress who resembles the late singer," said a tipster, to www.AlfredHaynes.com.

Tamyra Gray should be considered for the Whitney biopic. She's got the looks, the acting skills, and while no one can possibly touch Whitney's vocal ability, she could certainly do a more-than-passable job, and her style is much closer to Whitney's than the other names mentioned.
