Alleged drug dealer holds baby, struggles with NYPD, endangers child's life

The New York Police Department has been unjustifiably criticized for an incident involving a combative suspect who used a baby to keep officers at bay.

In a recently released video, police officers attempt to subdue an irrational man, as he violently and foolishly clings to a small child.

The disturbing footage clearly shows that the child is in physical danger and is being emotionally traumatized.

Several bystanders, including an elderly man, try to reason with the unruly suspect, before a female police officer tells them to "stand back".

Based on the dialogue in the video, the man holding the baby is an alleged drug dealer.

Eventually, the terrified toddler is ripped from the offender's arms, and the suspect is arrested.
