Debra Burlingame claims Obama turned his back on her during 9/11 families, first responders meeting

Debra Burlingame, a former attorney and the sister of Charles Burlingame, an airline pilot that crashed into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, claims President Obama turned his back on her.

During the President’s May 5, 2011, meeting with 9/11 families and first responders in New York, Burlingame used her face-to-face time with the commander in chief to try to tell him how to do his job.

The seemingly pushy Burlingame wants Attorney General, Eric Holder, to drop the charges against CIA interrogators who allegedly used waterboarding (an illegal act of torture) to gain information on Al Qaeda. After being hugged by Obama, Burlingame asked the President to intervene in Holder’s decision to prosecute the CIA interrogators.

According to Burlingame, as a former attorney, she kows that Obama cannot tell Holder what do. Despite her so-called legal knowledge, Burlingame still asked the President to offer the Attorney General his opinion. Obama reportedly said, "no, I won't," and walked away.

Frankly, I don’t understand why so many people have their political underwear in a knot over this one-sided report of Burlingame’s encounter with the President.

She asked Obama a question. He gave her an answer. The end.

This woman SHOULD have been talking about her sister's death and thanking the President, not talking about her OWN personel agenda. I've always said, "If you aren't going to like the answer, don't ask the question". She got her answer and obviously didn't like it. The President wasn't there for anything other than talking with the survivor's of 9/11. This woman simply wanted her "15 minutes" of fame.

Obviously, her personal agenda was more important than what happened to her loved one on 9/11.

First of all.. Let me tell you a little somethin about this family. When you google Charles Burlingame, you will find a ridiculous article that claims he was working with terrorists on the day his plane was hijacked 9/11... This woman is not about her 15 minutes of fame..She and Chics late daughter Wendy had to fight for Chic to be buried at Arlington National Cementary. She has been working none stop she 9/11 and has even had to endure the loss of Chics' daughter Wendy in 2006 in a fire. This woman puts her heart and soul into finding the answers that some may people in this country are either afraid to look for or are afraid to hear.
