Bernie Mac: Chicago street named after late comedian

A portion of 69th Street in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood was renamed Bernie Mac Street in honor of the late comedian who died August 9, 2008, at the age of 50.

Mac, whose birth name is Bernard Jeffrey McCullough, was born and raised on Chicago's South Side.

According to CBS Chicago, Mac's family, including his daughter Je’Niece McCullough, attended the ceremony.
